Divemaster

The PADI Divemaster course is a performance-based program, meaning that class duration depends on class size, logistics, and Divemaster candidate performance characteristics. The PADI Divemaster course is divided into three sections: knowledge development, water skills and stamina, and practical application. The three sections will build off of each other to make the next part as productive as possible.

Part One: The knowledge development is the foundation. It teaches you from self-study and class time, what you need as a professional-level diver, and helps you continue onto other professional positions.

Part Two: You will then build off of that foundation in the water skills and stamina module. Here, you will show what you know and have learned through a series of home-study, classroom sessions, evaluation by exams, and in-water demonstrations, such as diver rescue. The goal of this example is to refine your skills past the Rescue Diver level. You will also be developing demonstration quality basic scuba skills (mask clear, BCD off/on, etc).

Part Three: The practical application puts the diver skills to work that are typically performed by a Divemaster. The three required training exercises are followed by a specific internship.
